I purchased this computer because I was looking for a low cost option that came loaded with Windows 8. This little Acer completely fits the bill. It's an attractive, hardworking home computer option. I am already pretty familiar with Windows 8, having updated my laptop to it as soon as it was released. But I wanted to go full on Windows 8 with a touch screen monitor which I also purchased form Amazon ( Acer T232HL bmidz 23-Inch Touch Screen LCD Display ). This computer works great with the touch screen monitor and Windows 8. The boot speed is amazing, it almost startles me when the login screen comes up so quickly. I have the computer connected to my home network through WiFi and it connects immediately upon startup or wakeup from sleep. I decided to use a wireless keyboard and mouse that I already owned instead of the USB ones that came in the box. I have also wirelessly connected my Bamboo Create and everything is working great. I'm enjoying this computer very much and would recommend it to anyone whose looking for an inexpensive home/office computer who doesn't need to ton of gaming power.

Even though there is an option in the BIOS to boot to CD/DVD, it never will. A quick Google search showed that this is a frequent problem for this computer and is likely a bug in the firmware. Not being able to boot to disk makes it difficult to downgrade the operating system. Seems like a nice PC otherwise - if you want to use Windows 8.

The computer is great. Still trying to figure out the details of Windows 8. I have had several Acer products and been happy with all.
