1Worst PC I've ever bought
By Arolighe
I do tech work freelance for local businesses. My fiance wanted a desktop now that she was out of college and no longer needed the portability of a laptop, so we went with this model. Its sleek, its sexy, the specs were nice. It was also the worst mistake I've ever made. When the PC came, I took pictures of how happy my fiance was. I delighted in how she delighted in the machine. Two days later the machine was dead, would not turn on. Opening the case gave me a burning scent, the acrid stench of burnt metal. So we sent it back, and they sent us another one in good time (Amazon, not cyberpower.) Well a few weeks later, the hard drive started to make a clicking noise, and the computer would freeze up during this time. I called their tech support, the first time I was on hold for several hours, I tried again the next day and got through to them. They sent me out a new hard drive, same model, and I installed it. Here's another note: This PC is laid out in such a fashion that the simplest of tasks (Like replacing an identical hard drive) took me four hours. This PC is as user friendly as pulling one of your own freaking teeth. So, new hard drive is in, boot 'er up, all is well! Except today, a few weeks after that, I bumped my fiance's mouse and the computer came on. Guess what was clicking? The hard drive. Yes, its doing it again. Not only is it doing it again, but its doing it so audibly and so often that its practically a clock counting down to its own death. This is break down number four with the same damn PC. So I called their tech support. They say hey, send us that PC, we'll look into it, or we could send you another hard drive! That's all well and good. Except IF YOU ARE USING PARTS THAT FAIL OFF THE LINE THIS OFTEN IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY SHINY NEW PIECES OF CRAP YOU SEND ME! There is no reliability in this machine, because the parts used to construct it obviously have a high failure rate, either due to manufacturing or storage methods, I have no idea. Do not spend your money on this thing.*EDIT AFTER SERVICE CALL*So, spoke to several people at Cyberpower, and finally came to a guy named Kevin at their tech support. I'm not going to lie, I put that man through the ringer, and he never lost his cool. Not only that, he came up with a solution to my problem that I'm pleased with. They are sending me a new hard drive, but this one of a different brand (Same size) as the previous. Since Cyberpower doesn't produce the hard drive this computer uses, they aren't responsible for its failure rate. But rather than duck that and demand I call Hitachi about it, they are sending me a different model drive with equal space. Now I can't promise that's going to fix everything, and I'm still mad as all hell, but that was good service. Cyberpower is attempting to make this right, and I'm going to give it one last go-round. I do NOT endorse this PC, by any means, you should not buy this PC...but the company may still be worth a look. Cyberpower hasn't yet lost my business. They still could lose my business, but at least they are expressing an interest in keeping it. I hope this helps someone.***Further Edit***11 days now dealing with CyberpowerPC for a replacement of the failing drive. After speaking with RMA status, and customer support, I am now on an hour hold time for a supervisor. They are trying to ship me a Toshiba hard drive, which is actually just a new label on the SAME HITACHI (Documented on multiple reviews here and on newegg), meaning they are trying to ship me an identical hard drive to the TWO which have already failed, that simply has a new sticker on it with a different name. They also refused, on three different conversations, to tell me the model number of the hard drive they wanted to send me, but let slip enough information to find it. This company, as I said before, produces a fine product with some heavy, heavy flaws, and high failure rate OEM parts. They could redeem that issue with quality customer service, however other than one guy who seemed to want to solve the problem, these people are inept and rude, outright swindling in my opinion. I stand by my first assessment: Don't buy from CyberpowerPC

4Mid-level Gamer PC, Best I've ever Bought
By Stephen D. Feist
I'm no stranger on spending my hard earn cash on computers.I am always online at home and at work, I think I know a thing or 2 about PC equipment.I shopped around for a gamer PC that had enough power to make my gaming experience seamless.I wanted a good video card, at least 500w power supply, fast processor and plenty of RAM.I got all 4 and at a competitive price; Beat other prices like PC's at Fry's and New Egg.As always with big Amazon purchases I used the Amazon store card and got 12 months same as cash terms. The case is huge and is well ventilated. It has 2 fans, one lights up blue when on, which is pretty cool.I like the clear side panel. With 2 T's of file storage it will be a while before I run out of space on the hard-drive.I've not use the CD/DVD yet but with 24X DVD±RW Dual-Layer Super-Multi Drive, its all I'll ever need.It has the usual ports on the back. What this unit didn't have is, a WiFi card and A Memory card reader. These parts cost me an additional $40 bucks. The video card is missing the HDMI port, which most cards are including these days. The Keyboard and Mouse seem cheap but they work OK.Because of these minor missing components I took a star away. This is the fastest PC unit I have ever owned.I downloaded (Special Ops, The Line)and (Microsoft Flight) to test its graphics and speed.I did't notice any lag or frames flickering, just seamless video.Right now I'm playing The Elders Scrolls IV Oblivion and it seems to support it just fine. The Video card takes up a lot of room and uses the PCI-E slot.It looks like I only have 1 PCI slot that I can get to.I'll be using this port for my WiFi card. The bottom line is I got a fast PC at a good price. If I have any equipment issues I will post later but so far this PC has performed flawlessly.Yikes! they just lowered this by $100.00, grrrrrr
