This desktop rocks!!
By T. Hiemenz
I've been using this for three weeks now and it is, by far, the fastest machine I have ever used. I must admit that getting used to Windows 8 was a bit frustrating but I can see the advantages to using it and am slowly getting comfortable with it. I am not a big gamer but I am into video and music and this machine records my dvd's while I surf the net, check email, play little games like solitare and majonng. Used to be I could do nothing while a dvd was being recorded. I love the massive hard drive as there is plenty of room for me to work and save my stuff.

Great budget PC, 3rd Generation I5 with a Nvidia video card for under $600
By Abraham Garcia
This is solid machine, very good specs, including a dedicated video card (NVIDIA GeForce GT 620) and sufficient memory to handle everything I need it for (Office 2010, Photoshop and Illustrator 5). the Wifi seems to be very fast and responsive. It does not have bluetooth, but that is not a dealbreaker. The hard-drive is 2TB which can hold a lot of data and it spins a 7200 RPM which is a plus.As other people have stated Windows 8 seems to be a piece of work; it seems that Microsoft focuses on looks rather than usability of their products, Windws 8 looks great, but it becomes useless whenever you have to actually use it for work; the Start button is gone, and once you click on the "Apps" button for lets say the weather, it fills the whole screen, great, now how you get out of it? the escape key does not work, I had to do an Alt+tab to actually switch to another App when i just wanted to close the current app/program.There is the "Classic Shell App" that can solve many issues with Windows 8, including customize Start menu and also adds look and feel of Windows 7".[...]

After a bad start...
By DB
I purchased this unit and after it arrived I soon noticed a loud humming sound! At first I thought it might be the fan but it wasn't. Eventually I returned the unit and received a replacement. The replacement is much quieter and so far no complaints.
