Just a couple days old - but so far so good

Bought this for my 83 yr. old mother-in-law. She's is the most NON-computer person in the world. I was expecting this to be a touch screen operated PC - somehow I didn't pay close enough attention to the different models. DUH - my fault. Was hoping to have her use Windows 8 with a touch screen ... but as it turns out she does pretty well with the HUGE icons and the "corner" click option for Windows 8. The PC w/USB wireless keyboard and mouse came up without a hitch. The screen clarity and resolution is really good. I'm still trying to figure out Windows 8 but so far I kind-of like...even for a PC (non-tablet).

Everything is perfect but the processor!

I bought this computer 2 weeks ago and everything seems beautiful, I really like it but when you open 2 or more programs the computer freeze. if I want to see a full hd movie the computer freeze. The only problem here is the processor, is 1.7dual core and the computer use 99% of it for everything.

Great Computer

I really like this computer. It is much more efficient than my previous computer. I have so much more room on my desk than I did previously. The images are awesome and the sound is exceptional for not having separate speakers. I am very pleased with the wireless keyboard. The only thing I would change about it is needing better non-skid feet on the bottom because it is prone to slide around on my desk.My computer has Windows 8 installed. If I was grading the software along with the computer, it would NOT be 5 stars. I felt Windows 8 was awkward to use and more labor intensive. It requires more steps to perform the same tasks I would perform with Windows XP. I found it difficult to figure out how to perform even the simplest tasks. I called HP to see if it would be possible to downgrade to Windows 7, but they said that this computer would not function with Windows 7 because of the need for different drivers.

Well worth it

So i have been shopping around for a gaming pc and saw alot of reviews on the Ibuypower and Cyberpower pcs that alot of ppl got them and they had problems with them not working correctly and that both companies had horrible customer service. I didnt see any reviews on the Cybertrons but after reading about the 24-7 customer service for life and the 1 yr warranty i gave it a shot and bought it. This computer does what is advertised and the price is awesome. I got this pc for Diablo 3 and WoW and it runs D3 at 60 fps on ultra settings without a hitch. Out of the box it booted up fine no problems and has been great so far and if your looking for a gaming pc on a budget this is def the one i would get

Great PC

I was looking for a new desktop since my old one continued having problems ... finally to the point of me deciding to retire it (with a sledgehammer ... dang thing!). I found this PC while doing a search for gaming rigs on amazon and searching by high customer reviews and not super high cost.I actually ended up buying a modified version of this PC on the company's website (so directly from them). It's mostly the same PC (little better video card, etc) and since reviews are not necessarily on Amazon itself, I'm writing the review on this company and this PC.The computer was built and shipped with decent speed. Of course I wanted it faster - who isn't a kid on Christmas when waiting for a new computer to arrive ;) But I chose standard shipping and got it within estimated times. No complaints there!The computer itself is great. It came all set up and ready to go, including some extra screws and whatnot to mount your old (or new) drives, cards, etc. I was a little alarmed when I loaded up some games and they ran slowly but, after some research, found that it was simply because not everything was fully up to date on the PC. That's totally acceptable and expected, so again, no complaints! I went and got the latest BIOS rom, video drivers, etc, and now I'm gaming like a speed freak!I'd recommend this product for sure and will definitely check back in with this company and their products once I'm looking for another desktop (which will hopefully not be until four or five years from now!).

Great computer!

So I received this item on October 10th, 2012, set it up, and fell in love with it. I've never owned a desktop for gaming before, and I was looking for something reliable, decent specs, and within price range and boy I have to tell you, this just takes the cake. Beautiful machine. I've had it for about a month now and haven't ran into any problems whatsoever. Perfect for my level of gaming, and it can also of course be upgraded. The processor is great. Computer runs very fast. The video card is beyond decent, and handles high-grade games fairly well. (Skyrim, GTA, Crysis, etc.) The auto-setup for most games reads as high or ultra high, and runs such with very little lag. The only downside is the lack of HDD space. While it says 500GB, keep in mind the Operating System does take up 35GB of space alone, so when it arrives you're left with 465GB of HDD space, and that can fill up fast depending on any files and such you transfer from an old system that had beyond 500GB of space. The upside to that is this tower comes with many HDD bays, so it is not a problem to add your own new ones if you wish. I also was a bit edgy about the power supply. 400W is about pushing the bare minimum to run the CPU itself, so for anyone who is going to have a high end keyboard/mouse or stick LED's in the case, and things to that nature, you might want to consider upgrading to a 750W PSU like I did. Overall, this computer is great, and I HIGHLY recommend it if you were in my position with not a lot of money, but wanting a decent machine, and not entirely knowing what specs to look for, and this would also be a WONDERFUL gift for the holidays coming up! Especially with how great Cybertron's Customer Support is, should you run into any problems. 9/10!Edit: Just a note if anyone else is having problems with this. I noticed that sometimes upon startup, the front 2 USB ports out of 3 don't work. It seems that the USB drivers weren't installed correctly or something to that degree, but after troubleshooting and re-installing the driver, I haven't had any problems since!

Good basic computer

This computer was only loaded with the essentials and the settings are configure to make this computer run as fast as possible. I purchased this computer so I could surf the internet on my plasma tv in my family room. I bought a wireless router and a cordless keyboard and mouse, and they all work flawlessly with it. It made my life alot more simpler then running to another room to grab the laptop or desktop when I needed to look something up. Also love streaming netflix movies to my tv, as well as hulu. It was a great deal for what I needed to use it for. Now, If I could just teach my dog to fetch me potato chips, Id never have to get off the couch...Life is good!

I truly like this computer. Its not good for gaming but it's good for searching the web and doing homework. The price is probably the best thing about it. Cost me $42 dollars plus another $42 for S/H. This computer starts up really fast, even faster than my labtop... by 3 seconds. For some weird reason one night i accidently kicked my computer and one of the fans started making a L O U D noise. But after 2 days it stopped making that noise and now its very quite. Its been like this for weeks. People complained about how loud the cpu fan is but im not having this problem... Idk why.

Dell GX 280 tower is a fast computer but stocks a loud cpu fan

After reading peoples reviews on the Gx280 it seems to be a common problem with the cpu fan. I plan to try an aftermarket adjustable fan to quiet it down. note: in a retail business the fan noise could be aceptable, but at home its a distraction.

This is the awesome as were the other one's I have owned. I bought my 1st Gateway pc when I was in my 20's. This is my 4th and I am over 50 yrs. The thing I love the most is it's completely silent. The only way you know its on is the light is blinking..
