It was time to buy a new PC (my last one was getting too old), and I wanted a gaming PC, so PC gamers were telling me to build my own. My knowledge of PCs only goes so far, and the Alienware computers always caught my eye, so I decided instead of trying to figure out how to build PC (and save the time of looking everything up and putting it together) I'd just go with this PC. I am impressed! It came (pretty much) all ready to go, and pumps out graphics considerably better and smoother than my PS3 (obviously). Also, down the road if I need and even bigger boost I can install another graphics card... awesome! Of course it runs all the programs I've used perfectly. It came with some necessary programs, and when I got it there were just a few I downloaded that I wanted. No problem. Not to mention the PC unit itself, while big, looks really cool with its crazy lights that I can even change colors of or the pattern they flash. Not necessary I know, but a neat little feature to show off.I've noticed that with Amazon sales and Steam you can get some awesome PC games for really cheap. I got some high quality titles here on Amazon for $5 to $7.50 (Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age II, Dungeon Siege III, Dead Space, Dead Space 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Crysis & Crysis 2). Thank you!I've had this computer for almost a month, and so far I love it. The only thing I didn't like is 2 weeks after I bought it the price dropped $350... ouch. Not Amazon's fault I ordered this when I did (and it's inevitable that a price on something new will eventually go down). I usually watch prices more, but I got excited and had to have it right away. Oh well... live and learn, i guess. Since I love my return to PC gaming so much it's not a big deal.

Alienware is known for being over priced but with the Amazon discount I was very happy, several hundred $ cheaper than at NewEgg! Came in a massive box-in-a-box so well protected in shipping, and very solidly put together.*One note is that this is not the active venting case (comes with a grill at the top instead of the fins).
