Not Recommended!
By Leslie A Griffin
Hard drive failed within 3 months. Servicing took nearly 2 months. When I finally got the computer back the bezel/case around the screen was scratched really badly (looks like someone in the Toshiba service department slid the face of the computer around on a hard surface, embedding several permanent scratches all over it.) And, of course, one of the USB ports on the side is now bent (inside) so that the USB port can't even be used. Looks like the USB port was used as a pry point during repairs. Also, when I got it back from Toshiba servicing, I noticed the machine now makes odd sounds at startup similar to a cappuccino machine. Don't know what that means, but it probably means there are more problems. All in all- WORST electronic purchase I've ever made in my life. Defective new product, Horrible customer service.

EXTREMELY NOISY CPU AND CD DRIVE
By Dolce
1) CPU - Crunches and is noisy2) CD Drive is extremely loud - sounds like an airplane revving up and taking flight from my office3) USB dongle is very awkwardly located on the back of the Toshiba in a compartment, so you have to first place that into the compartment to even get the mouse / keyboard to work. For a wireless set up, they should have just provided a true wirelss option without adapter.I can't believe how noisy this Toshiba All-In-One Desktop Computer DX735 is. We recorded the actual noise with my cell phone. When we played the video back on my cell phone you could clearly hear how loud the CPU was; especially noticeable was the racket it made processing a CD in the CD drive. I transferred the video to my desktop and before uploading on to Amazon for this review we played the video. I can say for certain that the noise is horrific and completely unacceptable. We have purchased 2 Toshiba laptops in the past and are so disappointed in the cheap quality of this Toshiba All-In-One Computer that we will probably never purchase another Toshiba product again. I'm a Small Busines Owner / Professional Writer and it is very frustrating to have to send this computer back and start the research progress again to find another conputer. I mention 'start the research process again', because now that I know this computer was noisy, I will need to research that specific component on other computers to also make sure they don't have the same drawback. Whatever product I ultimately purchase, it will not be a Toshiba.**UPDATE 5/24**I can't believe what I chose, because it is so new to me, but I went with the iMac. We are not Mac users, I don't know a thing about Mac comoputers, but it was lightening fast at the store. I noticed that it required less hardware to perform faster than Windows. It was also extremely RoHS Compliant and Energy Star rated. I checked into a Dell, but had a very hard time confirming it was Energy Star compliant and the screen was not clearn on the type quality, compared to others. For me since I type a lot, this was important to have a clear accurate computer screen. I went with the iMac 21" screen, as the 23" inch screen of the Toshiba was really large, and I am not using it to watch TV, I'm using it as a computer.Thank you for reading my review. I am not someone who frequently gives product reviews or ratings, but I was compelled to do so because I was in such disbelief at the lack of quality of that Toshiba computer.Amazon was very easy to work with on the return. It did take 17 days total to return and get proper credit for the return, but at every step of the way they went as fast as could be expected with the proceduress and processes they have to take.I will update once the iMac arrives!**UPDATE 5/28**The Mac is here and I'm typing on it now. It is so quiet, you don't hear any processes running. The speed is amazing, and I only have the 2nd to the lowest internet speed in my home office. The 21.5 inch screen is plenty big. It might sound small, but when it arrives you will see how big it really is. Even the packaging of the product was brilliant and the monitor is sleek and beautiful crisp, colorful and clear. I never liked how Toshiba places all those stickers on the bottom of their monitor. Apple is savvy, with just their logo. I will be writing a full review under the Mac Product I purchased - here is the link in case you want to read about the benefits and features of the Mac. Apple iMac MC309LL/A 21.5-Inch Desktop (NEWEST VERSION).Note: There is a learning curve that goes with Mac. However, Mac has made this very simple and easy to deal with. They have websites where you can participate in an online class or another site where you can find out information. One is called "find out how" and the other is "show me how". I'll confirm the URLs and update that here soon!

Very noisy hard drive and poor support
By Jantakiawaz
Very noisy hard drive. I wanted to change to a SSD but there is no documentation anywhere on how to assess the hard drive. I have been building computers for >10 years and we have a full time IT tech in the company (have 100+ computers), but there is no way either of us could find how to access the hard drive on our own. I called Toshiba and they want me take the comupter to a repair shop to change the hard drive! Unwilling to provide any diagram or manual on how to access the hard drive. In all these years I have never even seen a laptop where you cannot access a hard drive, let alone a computer. Very frustrating. This will be my last toshiba purchase.
