I really hate it when I see a product I want badly and encounter negative reviews, but I can't just say nothing. I got this computer (Dell Inspiron 2020 All-In-One Desktop) for the purposes of running Outlook, Excel, iTunes and general internet use. It's been a real lagger. This machine would work okay for a someone whose purpose online was to check email and that's it. It has NO processing power whatsoever, and the 4 gigs of RAM it comes with feel like nothing. I usually have 3 or 4 applications open at a time and I still experience lagging. I went ahead and ordered additional RAM from Crucial and we'll see what happens when I have 8 gigs of ram. It only set be back $42. Hopefully it's enough to keep this thing running more smoothly, but I'm afraid the processor is the problem (and that's a much more expensive upgrade).The other issue I've had is freezing. I've had the computer only a month and there are mornings when its super sluggish. A few times it freezes altogether and all I see are the outlines of my applications and everything is colored blue. I don't know if it's because AVG is updating or what, but this is so frustrating! I cannot recommend this computer to anyone. Not even on sale. Not ever.

As usual, the only problem with any PC is that it comes with Windows. In this case, Windows 8 is difficult to customize from the beginning and not particular user friendly. I'm a Mac person; this Dell is my husband's. It seems that Microsoft is trying to take the icon usage from Mac, but I find it troublesome.The pc itself is pure Dell--stable, great monitor resolution. Wireless keyboard and mouse are great. If any glitches or great things unfold, I'll be back to edit this review.

We needed a replacement computer for our old "family" computer. This computer is used for school papers and accompanying printing, web browsing, movies, music, etc... normal light to medium use things. So far, I am very impressed. I have always liked Dell products... laptops, desktops, servers... I have owned at least one of each and this one is no exception. This one hasn't been used, nor will it be used, for gaming and the like. I suspect there are other machines that are more appropriately built for that type of use, but this one has been great for the aforementioned tasks. I highly recommend this machine.Pros: everything, so far. I like the lack of bloat-ware and I like Windows 8... a little bit of a learning curve from Windows 7, but I like it.Cons: none, so far
