Great PC after shipping problem.
By Timothy F.
Purchased this computer back in December and had many issues with it. When it arrived the Blu-Ray Drive did not work and computer would not start up at times and just beep. I contacted amazon and were great about replacing it for me. Once again I received a bad computer and called amazon. I told them that I believed the issues was the computer was being shipped in a box way to large for what it should be and was not packaged properly. They listened and received the 3rd computer packed perfectly. Have not any issues with the computer so far and absolutely love it. It has been super quiet, runs smoothly, and have been able to play all my games on high/full HD settings.I did upgrade the system with a 2TB hard drive when I received it. It was very easy taking everything apart and swapping the drive, however putting the system back together was very tough. Because of the limited space, I had issues putting the graphics card back in but in the end got everything to work. The RAM is also very tight to access on the system as well. The build quality on the machine is very nice to me overall. The system lights up nicely and is not full of glossy services like the Xbox 360. The system overall is a nice matte black around with only the front of the system having a glossy finish. It also does not feel like cheap plastic to me like I have felt on previous Alienware systems I have seen.As far as Windows 8 goes, I really enjoy it. It takes a while to get used to but once you fully understand it, its much easier and fun to use the UI.My main downside I have with the system is that the USB ports on the front are only USB 2.0. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports on the back but it a hassle to use with my portable hard drive. Not sure why the system does not come standard with USB 3.0 ports only. Overall though, quite happy with my purchase and would consider purchasing another Alienware.Note: This system actually has a 1.5GB GTX660 Graphics Card. If you download the PDF Specifications on the side of the page in the description that will give you more accurate system specifications.

Just what I was looking for
By Tony
This so far has fulfilled all my expectation. I bought this from the Alienware website so I can get it personalized, I went with the fully-loaded one, 16 gb of RAM, i7, blue-ray, 2TB, windows 8, ect... Im also using this as a media center, I have it plugged to the TV and also my monitor, so when I want to watch a movie or play Black ops with a controller it will be on my 46in tv, and when I want to play some Starcraft or ect.. it will be on my monitor with the keyboard and mouse, also the monitor and keyboard is not close to the TV and where I have the x51, but VGA and USB extension does the trick. OH! Black Ops 2 works sooo nice, the graphics looks ALOT better than on PS3, and x51 also looks realllly nice and its not very big, I barely use it as a PC... I saw bunch of people complaining about the wi-fi on this and I can say, the wi-fi may be the weakest point of this system, thats not to say its bad because I dont have a problem with it, but I did notice it wasn't picking up all the wi-fi my apple, or other laptops we're picking up. Also it would've been nice if Alienware created their own software that acts as a media center.

AWESOME PRODUCT!! But...
By sean
But if you expect to just plug it in and have it work the first try then you're going to be in for a surprise! I plugged it into my television, pressed the power button and... it just beeped over and over again and never loaded. After Googling a solution for days I saw something about unplugging all sorts of components inside and replugging them in. I know NOTHING about fixing or putting computers together so I was really upset! I scoured the interwebs to find a solution in every forum Google could find. Finally I just opened the case and looked at the graphics card. Dell had plugged the wrong cord into the graphics card. The cords were labelled 1 and 2. I switched them and it worked like a charm. Dont forget to update your graphics drivers at the Nvidia website.
