5Best bet for the money
By E. Treants
Searched hard and could not find a better deal for the money. All other manufacturers wantd 2x as much for the same capabilities. eMachines is a winner in my book.File transfer was a snap using the Easy Transfet feature in Vista. Still getting used to the changes form Xp, but so far it seems like a great operating system in a fantastic bit of hardware. Yes,it has all the "Trial" versions that are being "given" with computers now, but transfering other software from the old computer was a snap. If your old computer died, it is easy to remove the hard drive from the old one and install it as a second hard drive in this computer.Cons - only 4 USB (2.0) Ports in back and two on front, could have used more. When teamed up with a 19" wide screen monitor (from another manufacturer) - it was still less than anyone else could offer, by a bunch.

3Slow
By Dawn M. Christensen
Yes this is certainly alot for your money. It's hard to find a computer with so many features for this price. I received it and loaded it up with my software and was very surprised by how slow it is. Every program, even starting it up takes a LONG time. I ended up giving it to my daughter because I don't have the patience for this. It should not take so long to load programs etc. So while I can't argue that it is a good deal. It is SUPER SLOW! We used mostly educational software and basic home programs.

5SLAMMIN' DEAL FOR THE $$$
By Tiger Knee
Purchased in 2005 or 2006, so long ago I don't really remember. I've only had to replace the CD/DVD drive once and other than that it's been running flawlessly. I've maxed out the RAM slots and installed a nicer EVGA GFX card. Less than $50 worth of upgrades and this PC works great. You can even do a good amount of media editing (photos, music, video) without a hitch and for everything else, it can't really be beat. It runs cool and quiet even when multi tasking it never showed any signs of fatigue. Best $300 I've spent on a PC.
