I just purchased this the other day, and I think it was a really good buy. The computer runs quiet, fast, and is more than enough for the common user. However, I am most happy with the processor. I do a little music composing and the processor is definitely up to the challenge. The graphics card is decent, and it works with most games I play. In conclusion, if you are looking for a fast, efficient, and quiet way to get your everyday computing tasks done, I would definitely recommend purchasing this.

I generally pick out parts and have a professional assemble the computer for me. I decided to save some money this time and buy a preassembled computer that had everything I needed it in. It was a mistake. First off, the monitor I had, which works fine with 6 other computers that I tested, did not work right with the HDMI video output from this computer. I did try another monitor and it worked with that, but why it did not work with the monitor that worked with every other computer I do not know. I decided to replace the video card. I have not been able to make another video card work in this computer. I opened an issue with ASUS support and they said the video card in there was the only video card they support (this was shocking to me). Someone else suggested the 350 watt power supply was to weak to support a decent video card, so I put in a 600 watt power supply hoping it would fix the problem. It did not, I do not even see the BIOS boot messages. The computer also turns off about twice a day without warning. Another unhappy user of a version of this computer said the CPU cooler was probably not good enough, so I put in a new CPU cooler. I will know whether that fixed that problem, it not I will probably sue Asus for the cost of the computer and all the money I have spent on it. It was suggested by the person who put in the CPU cooler that the combination of a video card without a fan and a standard CPU cooler could have been the problem. He said he watched it and the temperature just kept going up until the computer turned off. If you use the graphics card for any amount of graphics, not heavy duty graphics, just normal games, it heats and and the combination of that and the standard CPU cooler probably caused it to overheat. In other words, if you try to use the computer in any graphics application, it will shut down, unexpectedly. The bottom line is I bought the computer less than three months ago I have spent $300-$400 on upgrades and service trying to fix it and perhaps 3 hours exchanging 20 emails or so with ASUS support and it still does not work. I could have built one for less than $1,000 that I have spent that was better. I would stay away from this until they get the problems fixed. It is indicative of a flawed product when they their support tells you that the computer cannot be used with any video card other than the one that was in it. What happens if the video card fails, do you search Ebay hoping to find and old one?

its a good computer, but the graphics card is lower than low end. I bought this because of the specs, but the graphics card is terrible. It could barely play gta iv. I have a feeling that its because my gta iv disc is scratched a little but it should have ran fine. overall this is great if your going to buy it then upgradew the gpu.
