I bought this computer not once, but twice. I return the first computer as it failed to boot up right out of the box. I returned it for an identical model thinking the first one I purchased was the exception. The second had a bad CMOS battery right out of the box and within two days it became impossible to even turn the computer on. Probably worse than my experience with the two computers was my experience with Gateway's customer service. The customer service agents (I use that term loosely) have no knowledge of their product and unwilling to help. Gateway refuses the standby its product and offer even the most minimal level of customer support. Please save yourself the time and buy some other comparable product on the market. I'm convinced there are better options.

Bought the computer on a Friday, got the computer on a Tuesday. That part was GREAT!!Attempted to boot the computer on Wednesday. Nothing! The computer was reporting a boot error. Because the keyboard and mouse that come with the computer are software driven, no Operating System = no mouse and keyboard. Luckily I have other computers. After several attempts, I still could not get the computer to boot. That same day I called customer support with Gateway. They were from a country other than the USA. This did not cause a problem. They told me that they would have to send me System Restore disks (They did not come with the computer!!). Customer support told me it would take 3-5 days to get the disks. This was a Wednesday AND Monday just happened to be a holiday.I received it in 5 business days, which was actually 8 days because of the weekend and the holiday. Thursday night I received the disks (tonight). They do not work!!! I called customer service again and they tell me that I have to ship a computer that I have not been able to start to a repair shop in Texas where they will fix the hardware problem. I asked about just getting a new computer sent to me and they said that they could not. Maybe, if someday in the next month I will get the computer I ordered almost two weeks ago. Then, maybe I will rate the computer better...

Please bear in mind that this is my very first review on amazon and that i know very little about computers.With that said, i was very pleased with this bad boy! I bought this computer on Cyber Monday, after reading less than stellar reviews for it. After looking at the specs and the price i decided to take my chances and ordered it. I was very excited because i was finally able to replace my 5 year old hp computer. It's been a month now and i haven't experienced any technical faults. the people who bought this computer seemed to have trouble with it turning on after a certain period of time. This issue, i assume, deals more with the shipping process. Luckily i had no such problems. The moment i turned it on i was amazed at how fast and quiet it was. i put this computer through several stress tests and it did not slow down on me one bit. I was able to watch dvds, surf the web, download software and even play world of warcraft with little to no trouble.For people looking into buying this computer for the purpose of gaming it'll will do just fine. the ati radeon hd 5570 with its 1 GB of DDR3 VRAM can handle star craft 2 and world of warcraft at max settings with no slow down. it can also handle most current gen console games.This computer is great for multimedia purposes and I really can't find any faults with it, the added keyboard and wireless mouse was a nice touch too! I hope this helps!
