Ordered a Certified Refurbished Dell XPS 8500 from Dell Outlet, total was $440 with tax and shipping. For the price you cannot beat it.It looks brand new, even had the protective film on the front of the tower. Works perfectly, have had no issues at all. Is this worth the $700+ it is being sold for everywhere - I would say no. For the $700+ price it should have a better graphics card, 2TB HDD, BluRay Drive and Illuminated Keyboard with Wireless Mouse - that would be worth the $700 price.

This was my first desktop purchase since I bought an inhouse special from CompUSA about 8 years ago. Things have changed, and for the better! The new Dell was a snap to set up, even for a nerd like me.All the features I'll ever need or want. One problem at the start, which was resolved by Dell tech staff by phone. As received, the graphics were really primitive, with a pop-up notice saying that the accelerator was not functioning. The Dell tech diagnosed the problem by remotely taking over the computer - he found that the graphices driver had not been installed at the factory, and performed the installation. So i have to praise the tech staff at Dell as well as the fine computer.I purposely purchased a computer with Windows 7, as many of my programs go back to Windows 3.1, and will not function on Windows 8 but will work on Windows 7.Recommend? You Bet!

We have been very impressed with the performance. Editing work station for video & photography. Never any issues, a real work horse.
