I purchased this computer bundle from Desert West several months ago. Immediately I was contacted by Desert West though email with a thank you notice for my business and an estimation date on the shipping of the computer. The computer shipped very quickly and arrived when Desert West said it would. It was very easy to assemble and included everything it was supposed to according to the description/specs. The tower, 27'' monitor, keyboard, mouse, mini speakers, and cables for everything were included in the box. I've been running the computer over a month now and it works great! It's very fast. I purchased an additional 27'' monitor from another seller and now I'm rockin dualscreen. I've become so much more productive, able to multitask much more efficiently since buying this machine. With my two screens, I can have two full size word documents and two internet pages up at once, being able to read everything without minimizing a thing. Very cool. I would highly recommend purchasing this product from Desert West, due to low cost, a great product, speed shipping, and the best customer service on Amazon I've had yet. Even after receiving my package I was emailed by Desert West with follow ups, asking if I needed assistance setting up my new computer and making sure everything arrived ok. They even sent an email informing me of a low cost upgrade to Windows 8 by Microsoft for people like me who recently purchased a new computer. I now plan to take advantage of it! We got our computer very fast. I got it set up after a while and a bit of guess work which makes me nervous. It had the quick setup instructions, but some areas were shaded gray. The monitor I had to find a connector for the two cables for it to work. I didn't see it in the instructions, but did find the connector thingy and finally figured it out. It says to look online for instructions, GREAT IF you can get online. During the set up process sometimes you can't get online.The computer froze up as it was shutting down to update the downloads, and then I had to shut down manually after a long time of no progress or going on its own. I couldn't get the computer start up screen to show up on the monitor. The computer was on, but the screen was dark blue.I called the seller and no answer so I called HP tech support. I gave him my information of the model number and codes and he told me the model was manufactured November 2011. It is already a year old even tho I bought it Oct.29, 2012. I was NOT HAPPY about that. We purchased a NEW one and it wasn't new after all. The tech guy at HP said that since we purchased on amazon / outside source, we were NOT COVERED by HP 1 year warranty. The website said it has a 1 year warranty on it, but HP said that we only had a 34 day warranty. NOT HAPPY about that either. Was this False advertising? The tech guy got the computer to finally run. He told me I should purchase the 1 year warranty for $139. Well with the luck I am having with just getting it connected and working, I debated on returning it. We will have to see how this runs. I may have to contact the seller and see what the deal is about it being an OLD model? The product information isn't great either. This computer came with a wireless mouse and keyboard. I will have to purchase a USB port keyboard. I did have a USB mouse I am using instead of the wireless. I don't care for the wireless mouse and keyboard. STILL too soon to tell how it is going to work. SO far.... LEERY! VERY LEERY! Not sure if I made a bad mistake or not. Will update later after we have used it a bit longer. It is still downloading the updates. Seems to be taking longer. I wonder if the computer even has the 1.5TB... 8GB.... ETC.... I am usually VERY HAPPY with amazon.... NOT SURE about this PURCHASE.... :0/UPDATE: We purchased a LEMON and have returned it. I also got ahold of HP and am getting reimbursed for the warranty since we are returning. The computer froze up again and I had shut it down the night before and when I got home the next day, after 5pm to turn it on.... IT was still SHUTTING DOWN! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! I had to redo what the tech dude told me to do again. I then contacted by email the seller. I also went to return on amazon. So far they say we will get our money back. We will see. I hope it isn't too hard to get our money back. I do lots of shopping on amazon. I am not sure if it was just a lemon computer or what, but we are going to go to best buy I think to be safe.Up UP DATE: I have returned the computer and have been told that full reimbursment will be given. It has been fairly hastle free other than loading Lemon Computer up and taking it to the shipping company. It was 50 lbs. The computer seemed like a great deal, but we ended up with a lemon. Maybe not all of them will be lemons. I don't like to give bad reviews. Amazon and the seller have been easy to work with through the return process. We went to Best Buy and they said there have been a lot of issues with the HP the last few years. Quality has become poorer....? Anyhow... I still shop on Amazon and love it. There are bound to be Lemons in every batch of product made. We were just lucky it was right away so we could return it promptly.
