One man's ceiling is another's floor
By BeenThere
I've been using the same Dell 360 with high end video card all day, nearly every day, since 2002; that's nearly seven years with NOT ONE mechanical issue. I think Mr. Rock Fan has been putting rocks in the computer fan. My machine has crashed a couple of times--mostly due to my own negligence. A world famous Photoshop expert friend of mine uses mostly Apple computers, and his crash too. None are immune.Yes, I agree, the USB ports should be more accessible, but I have a couple on my Dell monitor which I use most of the time, offsetting that problem. Other than that, this computer is getting a little old, but I can still run AutoCAD 2004, Adobe Illustrator CS, and fairly large Photoshop files without it bogging down much.Just to be reasonable--you can probably buy a better, faster, computer elsewhere, but for budget minded small companies who want the most for their money, Dell is still a major contender, and one of these days, if my computer ever breaks, I'll go for another Dell in a heartbeat. Dell's professional workstations are built with solid industrial components and, if configured properly in the beginning, are highly reliable in my experience. By the way, the amount of projects which have come faultlessly out of this computer is quite staggering. All told, I'll bet that I've produced over ten million dollars worth of projects, and never lost a file.I would buy last years' top end professional workstation computer with a high end graphics card and and Intel Core2 Duo processor, throw in 2-4 GB of memory, a DVD burner and you're good to go for at least a few good years of solid service. Keep up the maintenance by defragging the hard drive and protection from virues with software like AntiVir.

My 'new' computer has everything I wanted and at a price I could afford
By Beth Anne Cox
I am a writer, and a computer is absolutely essential. But I'm also very careful of every penny I spend, because in addition to raising a small child, my husband and I are also caring for my parents, a true sandwich household. So when it was obvious that a new computer was a must, we began price comparing. We went to several stores here in our town, and were quite disheartened at the costs we were seeing. Then I remembered how I've never been disappointed with anything I found on Amazon, and that I can usually find just about anything I wanted...and sure enough, here it was, great condition, a price I could easily afford. And in TWO DAYS it arrived, which was unbelievably fast shipping and which made me happier still. The seller could not have packed it more carefully, and we were both very happy with every aspect of this sale. I have since recommended to every one of my co-workers, friends, and family--anyone who is in the market for a new computer (and really, reconditioned is such a smart way to go, another good form of recycling, as far as I'm concerned) that this is the place to buy.

This Dell system is one fast PC!!! Turned it on as soon as I got it and it only took 5 seconds to boot up! Added a Virus program, spyware, printer, etc. and it still runs blindingly fast!If you need a second system, or even a first one, don't hesitate to purchase this one!!!
