From the moment I hooked the computer up and started using it, it was extremely slow to load websites. I'm connected using the fastest wi-fi AT&T offers. My old computer was faster than the Gateway I received. Also, my browser kept crashing. It crashed over 15 times on the first day I turned it on and that day, it also got the blue screen twice. I kept getting the blue screen of death on nearly a daily basis from that point on. Warning pop-ups ran rampant. At the end of week 1, I started getting warnings every time I would turn it on and try to surf the web, that would say my system was low on memory and I would have to close the window or re-start the computer...and that was just in the first 2 weeks! The ONLY thing I had downloaded was yahoo messenger and I knew for a fact that was safe and virus-free. I didn't even play any CD's on it. I tried everything to figure out the problem for myself and fix it but nothing worked. At the end of week 2, a good friend of mine who works on computers felt bad for me and gave me a computer and I gave him the Gateway for parts because I didn't have enough money to pay shipping to ship it back to the seller I purchased it from for a refund. My friend told me the hard drive in it was defective.
