I bought two different models of the Alienware X51 desktop. They were basically the same thing but one had more ram and a faster processor. I took the first one out of the box and it will not boot into Windows. It is stuck on a constant reboot loop. Finally a screen will come up and tell me to use my tools cd I created when I setup the machine. Well seeing as how I can't even get it to boot up for the first time I can't make the tools cd. I figured something was wrong with the first one, I will open the 2nd one and when I create the tools cd I will use it to fix the first one. I plug in the second machine and the exact same thing happened. Neither one of the machines will boot and are stuck in the constant reboot loop.

I had been wanting an Alienware for a very long time. I had waited, read reviews, and finally picked this one. I had read many reviews of how this computer was overpriced, but didn't heed those warnings. I had also read that Dell had terrible customer service. I bit the bullet and bought it anyway. That was perhaps the worst decision I've ever made. I ordered the computer and it eventually came in. I opened the box and booted it up. It worked for the first two hours. I powered it off for a while. When I came back to turn it on, it started beeping. I tried it again and again, and it kept happening. I sent it back for a new one. Four days after the estimated ship date I received the new PC. I took it out of the box, plugged and plugged it in. When I pressed the power button, it started beeping. It was the same problem yet again. I didn't heed the warnings of Alienware. I was obsessed with getting one of their pretty machines. I'm hoping that if you're reading this, you won't make the same mistake I did. Do what I did. Go to Best Buy and tell them you want a gaming PC. Tell them you'd like them to add all the trimmings to it. They'll build you a PC with five times the specifications for the same price. DO NOT BUY ALIENWARE. I thought maybe the one I got was a fluke. The second one proved me wrong.
