Love It

Purchased last year and love it. I researched the HP's and thought I could not afford a HP8 but found a deal on one for not much more than a less expensive HP. This computer can do far more than I know how to do. Still learning and experiencing a whole new world. I have new software to transfer some VHS and Hi8 tapes down to burn on DVDs and I am positive there is enough memory and speed to handle whatever I ask of it. Mine came with beatsaudio and I can't wait to buy some new speakers and listen to music. A plus for me is the computer came with Windows 7. There are multiple USB ports in front and rear. Basically, I attached keyboard, etc., plugged the computer in and was ready to go. I just bought Microsoft Office and downloaded the entire suite in a very short time. I take digital photos (who doesn't) and placed my card in the slot and downloaded pictures in an instant. The tower is somewhat larger than I had originally wanted, but I haven't any issues with it now because I think this computer will last me a few years - it is so much fun!!

Continually locks up

I purchased a refurbished Pavilion h8-1237c desktop. After a few minutes of use, the screen would freeze and the keyboard and mouse wouldn't function. I sent it off to HP for repair, and after I got it back, it worked for a couple hours, but then locked up again. Not sure this was a good model. :(
